1965 back in 1931
Yes, I did get that right. Continuing a recent theme, this early Aston Martin is chassis no. 1965, built in the Abingdon Road works at Kensington. Here it is found on a London street in 1931.
At one time it was fitted with the engine from chassis 1915 (the works racer and record car known as ‘Razor Blade‘), and a Willesden-made Cozette Supercharger. The car had an active life certainly to the end of the Thirties, in the hands of a Mr Johnson-Ferguson (although which one is open to speculation), competing in JCC events at Brooklands. It was sadly broken up.
