This blog takes its title from the 1928 book of same name by Sir Henry Seagrave. Arthur Conan Doyle once said “.. extreme men pave the way, that is their mission.” – Seagrave was one of that rare breed, born to push the limits.
Tragically, he lost his life pursuing the speed record on water, at Lake Windermere in 1930, drawn on always by ‘the lure of speed’.
This blog focusses on vintage (pre-war) motoring and related matters. I use sensibly sized images wherever possible, to optimise posts for mobile devices and ensure the sprocket holes fit your RSS reader.
